Our Process
Krauss Farms specializes in 100% grass fed, local beef. We offer half or whole steers, custom cut to your specifications. A $500 non-refundable deposit for a half, or a $750 non-refundable deposit for a whole steer will ensure your spot is reserved.

Our Process
Once your spot is reserved, you will fill out a cut sheet. Krauss Farms will give the cut sheet to the processor once your cow is delivered to them. After 14-17 days your beef will be delivered back to Krauss Farms, where you will be responsible for picking up. WE DO NOT HAVE FACILITIES TO STORE YOUR BEEF. At pickup, the balance must be paid to Krauss Farms via check or cash.

Our Pricing
On average, our steers are 1100-1200lbs. This will result in hanging weight of around 350-450lbs. We charge $4.50/lb hanging weight, plus the processing fee of around $1/lb. We strive to keep our prices competitive and fair, so we will not charge you a lump sum and have you pay extra for beef you may not receive. Prices will fluctuate based on the size of the steer. You can expect to pay around $1800.00 for half a steer.
